The Viking 5K serves as the Lakeside Foundation’s main fundraising event. Proceeds from the Viking 5K allow the Lakeside Foundation to support Lakeside’s deserving students and staff members throughout the year.
The Foundation provides scholarships to outstanding graduates, grocery store gift cards for families experiencing food insecurity, funding for the Care Closet, teacher support and recognition, and grants for music, art, academics, athletics, clubs, exceptional education classrooms, facility improvements, professional development, and cleaning equipment for our students and staff.
The Viking 5K is a community-wide event, attended by Lakeside alumni, community members, staff, students, and families from Lakeside High School, as well as feeder middle and elementary schools.
