Charles had an unweighted GPA of 4.0 (weighted it is a 4.4) while taking 11 AP courses with advanced & gifted classes rounding out his schedule, as well as being dual enrolled at Georgia State University taking College Algebra. He has been a member of the Tri-M Music Honor Society, serving as Vice President, while also serving as Vice President and Librarian for the Concert Band. He was the Piccolo Section Leader for the Marching Band, and for 2 years a member of the Atlanta Youth Wind Symphony. A favorite accomplishment of his was commissioning an original piece from a graduate of Lakeside, organizing rehearsals and then surprising Mr. Fairchild at the 2023 Spring concert with the piece,
He is also proud of cofounding the Lakeside Latin Club after Dekalb County removed Latin from the curriculum and served as president. Outside of Lakeside he was a Senior Patrol Leader with the Scouts BSA. His Eagle Scout project was revamping, improving and overall refurbishing a garden at a Decatur church. Charles will be attending Georgia Tech and plans to study Industrial Engineering.
