Nora was a member of the National Honor Society for two years, and on the Principal’s List for three years. She has served in leadership positions with Spanish Honor Society as Secretary and Vice President her junior and senior year, Beta Club as Co-Vice President her junior year and Co-President her senior year, and the SGA as Class of 2023 Vice President her sophomore and junior years. She has also been a member of the Lakeside Valhalla Yearbook staff since her freshmen year, serving first as a Senior Editor, and as Co-Editor this year. She worked with children in many areas, from providing childcare throughout the year, evening hours during the school year and 9-5 hours during the summer. She was an active volunteer every Sunday serving as a teacher with children ages 4 and up. For four Christmas holidays Nora worked in the “Santa’s Village” for Empty Stocking Fund; as well as other community service events like Peachtree Road Race Expo, Lakeside Summer Bridge Tour Guide, working forest clean up at Mary Scott Nature Park for two years and even assisting artist at ArtTucker Outdoor Show. In het essay Nora talked about the adjustment she made coming into high school where she discovered being “tall” could have advantages. Lucky for Lakeside, she choose to be a member of the volleyball team, and for four years worked hard to learn the sport, giving it her best. She received the Most Improved Player recognition, followed by being a member of the GHSA playoff qualified team her sophomore and junior years, and were a part of the Regional tournament Champions her junior year. For four years she was a member of Tsunami Volleyball, experiencing being a USAV National Tournament qualifier. Nora has gone on to play volleyball at Babson College!
