Bridget has received many awards and accolades during her four years at Lakeside High School. Some of them include: member of National Honor Society, Beta Club, National Latin Exam (Magnum cum Laude), College Board AP Scholar and Tri-M Honor Society. She has excelled as a swimmer winning the LHS Coaches Award and LHS Most Improved on the swim team. Bridget has been an Honor Roll student all 4 years and a Coca-Cola Citizenship Award winner. She is a strong leader at Lakeside serving as the Vice President of the National Honor Society, President of the Tri-M Music Honor Society, Captain of the Varsity Swim team and several leadership roles in the Lakeside Orchestra.
Bridget takes her passion for swimming and uses it to coach young swimmers. She is a true leader and over the years has risen to an assistant coach level now mentoring other aspiring coaches. Beyond her paid coaching duties she also finds the time to give swimming lessons, baby sit and provide pet sitting in her community.
Bridget M. Brownell personifies the true spirit of a Lakeside Viking! She excels academically, athletically and artistically, and she is deserving of the Foundation’s scholarship award.
