The Lakeside Foundation hosts an annual Viking 5K Run in January and the entire community is invited. Proceeds from this event fund three competitive scholarships each Spring, as well as fulfill grant requests for facility improvements, professional development, and curriculum materials for academics, arts, and athletics. Throughout the year, the Foundation supplies food, toiletries, and school supplies for Lakeside’s Care Closet, as well as grocery store gift cards and lunches for students facing food insecurity. Finally, the Foundation honors teachers and staff for their years of service to the Lakeside community by presenting service pins at the annual staff breakfast.
